Your journal contains your most personal thoughts. Everlog is designed to keep them private.
Passcode lock
Lock Everlog behind a passcode so only you can access it:
- Go to Settings > Privacy
- Enable Passcode Lock
- Set a passcode
- Optionally enable Face ID or Touch ID for quicker access
Biometric authentication
When passcode lock is enabled, you can also use Face ID (or Touch ID on older devices) to unlock Everlog. This is enabled by default when you set up a passcode.
Data encryption
- All data synced via iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple’s iCloud security
- Your entries are stored in your personal iCloud container — no one else can access them, including us
- Everlog does not have a server-side account system. Your data stays on your devices and in your iCloud.
What data does Everlog collect?
Everlog collects minimal, anonymous analytics to improve the app (crash reports and basic usage metrics). We never read, access, or store your journal entries on our servers.
